Dr. Holly Baxter’s AHFE Article Published on Elsevier Science Direct Portal

Dr. Holly Baxter recently presented her paper, “Specialized Knowledge Transfer: Accelerating the Expertise Development Cycle” at the 2015 International Conference on Applied Human Factors & Ergonomics (AHFE) in Las Vegas. SKS Participates in British Army’s Battlefield Study

SKS Builds High-Performing Teams for Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services

SKS is well versed in helping clients build high-performing teams. In our effort with the Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN), SKS used its Teams of Leaders approach to accelerate understanding of a common vision and the use cases that will bring that vision to reality. By facilitating meetings from the Board of Directors level down to the analysts and action officers, SKS helped bring together people from over 20 different organizations to build stronger teams at each level and improve the way they communicate, internally and externally, about potential improvements in Michigan’s health care system.

SKS Finishes Army Corps of Engineers KM Study

What is the Army doing in Knowledge Management (KM) these days?

This past quarter, SKS conducted an organizational assessment to reveal KM programs and authorities across the Department of the Army. What we found were big changes in the way the Army is resourcing and approaching KM…and not all changes were for the better. Our report examined 12 specific areas ranging from KM strategy, to implementation of KM initiatives, to KM training. Through a series of surveys and one-on-one interviews, SKS was able to piece together who is doing what regarding KM, and where the best practices reside in such a large and diverse organization. This report will be the highlight of a joint presentation at the annual KMWorld Conference in November by Mike Prevou and a representative from the Corps of Engineers.

Entering Third Year on the MCoE IDIQ

SKS enters into its third year on the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) at Fort Benning, Georgia, with longtime partner RLM Communications, Inc. The MCoE IDIQ contract value is $458 million, and SKS to proud to have assisted in work at MCoE that has helped with the implementation of the Army Learning Model, created knowledge management solutions and communities of practice, and conducted research to improve learning outcomes.

SKS Attends Chamber of Commerce Banquet

Mike Prevou (left) and Mike Hower attended the Leavenworth-Lansing, Kansas, Chamber of Commerce banquet on January 29, 2015. SKS was instrumental in improving how the Chamber connects and collaborates with local businesses and residents. SKS was also recognized as a key member of the team that developed a new Chamber website and mobile presence to connect businesses and consumers with local businesses.
