Two SKS Papers Selected as Formal Honorable Mentions for Best Paper at the 2009 I/ITSEC Conference

August 2009—Two of the three papers SKS submitted received Honorable Mentions for Best Paper, which means they were in the top three out of 121 papers. Congratulations to “Creating High Performing Teams of Leaders” by Mike Prevou, Bob Veitch, & Rick Sullivan and “Positively Gaming the System: A VBS2 Training Case Study” by Maj Eric Atherton (Asymmetric Warfare Group) and Holly Baxter.

SKS Participates in U.S. European Command Austere Challenge 09 Exercise

May 2009—SKS worked with U.S. Governmental Interagency Teams during the U.S. European Command Austere Challenge 09 Exercise to improve communication and collaboration between government agencies during a crisis. Employing a newly created team development approach, SKS worked with teams of leaders from five different nested teams to improve actionable understanding and achieve higher team performance faster.

SKS Conducts Knowledge Assessment at AMEDD Warrior Transition Units

Winter 2009—In an effort to improve knowledge sharing across the Army’s Warrior Transition Units, SKS helped the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) conduct a knowledge assessment. The assessment helped identify performance gaps between what a unit can do and what it must do to succeed. The knowledge assessment helps an organization understand itself and what it does so that it can focus on the right gaps. Read more here.
